Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 19, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the 247ATL Weddings website and the booking and provision of wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, venue-related services, and related services offered through 247ATL Weddings.

By submitting a reservation, making a payment, or otherwise purchasing or using services from 247ATL Weddings, the person making the reservation ("Client," "you," or "your") acknowledges and agrees to these Terms.

1. About 247ATL Weddings

247ATL Weddings is a private wedding ceremony and wedding-services business providing officiant services, wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, and related services.

In-person ceremonies may be conducted at the M.A.J. Bowden Legacy Center, 5000 Butner Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30349, or at another location agreed upon by 247ATL Weddings and the Client.

247ATL Weddings is a private business. It is not a court, probate court, government office, governmental agency, or representative of any governmental entity.

Reservations may be made through the booking system or directly through 247ATL Weddings. A requested date and time is reserved when the required payment or deposit has been received.

2. No Legal Advice or Attorney-Client Relationship

Information provided through this website or in connection with a wedding ceremony is for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice.

247ATL Weddings is not a law firm.

Judge Harry J. Bowden is a retired judge and serves as Senior Officiant for 247ATL Weddings. His participation in a wedding ceremony or other 247ATL Weddings service is provided through this private business and does not constitute judicial or governmental action.

Neither use of this website, booking a ceremony, nor communications with Judge Bowden, an officiant, or 247ATL Weddings creates an attorney-client relationship.

Couples requiring legal advice concerning marriage, property rights, prenuptial agreements, immigration, estate planning, divorce, or other legal matters should consult an attorney concerning their individual circumstances.

3. Marriage License Responsibility

The couple is solely responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license and satisfying all legal requirements necessary to marry.

Marriage licenses are issued by the appropriate governmental authority, not by 247ATL Weddings.

The couple is responsible for confirming that:

  • the marriage license is valid;
  • all information appearing on the license is correct;
  • the ceremony is being performed within any geographical or other limitations applicable to the license; and
  • both individuals are legally eligible to marry.

Both parties must present the marriage license to the officiant before the ceremony when a license is required.

An officiant may decline to perform a legal marriage ceremony if the required license has not been presented or if the officiant reasonably believes that the ceremony cannot lawfully be performed.

Failure to obtain or present a valid marriage license does not constitute a cancellation by 247ATL Weddings and does not automatically entitle the couple to a refund.

When appropriate and legally permissible, the couple may elect to proceed with a non-legal ceremonial or commitment ceremony or may reschedule the legal ceremony subject to these Terms.

4. Booking and Confirmation

All ceremonies are by advance appointment and subject to availability.

A reservation is confirmed when:

  • all information reasonably required to schedule the ceremony has been provided; and
  • the required full payment or deposit has been successfully received.

Once a date and time has been booked, it is removed from the booking calendar and is no longer available to other couples.

Ceremonies scheduled to occur less than 24 hours from the time of booking are arranged by telephone rather than through the booking calendar.

5. Payments and Deposits

Unless otherwise stated for a particular package, payment in full is required at the time of booking.

For the Signature Ceremony and Vow Renewal packages, a deposit is required at booking and the remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 calendar days before the scheduled ceremony.

The exact price and required deposit for each package will be disclosed during the booking process before payment is submitted.

A reservation requiring a deposit is not confirmed until the required deposit has been successfully received.

If the remaining balance is not received by the applicable deadline, 247ATL Weddings may cancel the reservation and release the reserved date and time.

Unless otherwise expressly stated, payments apply only to the services identified in the selected package. Additional services, ceremony time, special requests, venue enhancements, or other additions may result in additional charges disclosed to and approved by the Client.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be submitted to 247ATL Weddings as soon as reasonably possible.

Seven or more days before the ceremony. The Client may reschedule once at no additional charge, subject to availability, or may cancel and receive a refund of amounts paid, less any nonrefundable deposit and less a $75 administrative fee.

Fewer than seven days before the ceremony. Amounts paid are nonrefundable. The Client may reschedule once within 30 days of the original ceremony date at no additional ceremony charge, subject to availability.

Missed appointments and no-shows. A Client who misses a confirmed ceremony without advance notice may reschedule once within 30 days of the original ceremony date at no additional ceremony charge, subject to availability. If the ceremony is not rescheduled and completed within 30 days, a new booking and payment will be required.

Deposits. Where a package requires a deposit, the deposit is nonrefundable once paid. A deposit may be applied to a rescheduled ceremony under the provisions above. If a booking is cancelled because a balance payment was not received, the deposit is retained as a credit toward a rebooked ceremony occurring within 30 days of the original ceremony date. If the ceremony is not rebooked within that period, the deposit is forfeited.

Optional services and third-party expenses associated with the original appointment may not transfer to a new date.

A change of date does not guarantee the availability of the originally selected officiant.

Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method when reasonably practicable. Third-party processing fees or other amounts that are not returned to 247ATL Weddings by the applicable provider may be deducted from a refund to the extent permitted by law.

If 247ATL Weddings must cancel or reschedule because of officiant illness, emergency, severe weather, unsafe conditions, facility problems, or another circumstance beyond its reasonable control, the Client may choose an available replacement date or receive a full refund of amounts paid, including any deposit.

7. Late Arrivals

Couples and guests should arrive at the time specified in their booking confirmation.

A 10-minute grace period will ordinarily be provided.

After the grace period, a late fee of $50 for each additional 15-minute period, or portion thereof, may be charged when the delay requires additional officiant or venue time.

Late arrival does not guarantee that the ceremony can begin immediately. Other scheduled ceremonies and events will be respected.

If a delay would materially interfere with another reservation, the ceremony may need to be shortened, moved to the next available time, or rescheduled.

8. Ceremony and Officiant

247ATL Weddings will make reasonable efforts to provide the officiant requested by the couple.

Unless a particular officiant is expressly guaranteed as part of the booking, 247ATL Weddings may substitute another qualified officiant when illness, emergency, scheduling conflicts, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control prevent the originally anticipated officiant from performing the ceremony.

Judge Harry J. Bowden serves as Senior Officiant and personally performs ceremonies while collaborating with other professional officiants.

Couples may discuss reasonable ceremony preferences, readings, vows, traditions, and other personal elements with their officiant in advance.

9. Respect for All Couples

247ATL Weddings welcomes couples from different backgrounds and seeks to provide a respectful, warm, comfortable, and dignified environment.

Couples and guests are likewise expected to treat officiants, staff, other guests, neighboring property, and the M.A.J. Bowden Legacy Center with respect.

247ATL Weddings reserves the right to discontinue or refuse services when threatening, abusive, violent, unlawful, or seriously disruptive conduct creates a safety concern or materially interferes with a ceremony or operation of the venue.

10. Venue Rules and Responsibility for Guests

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their guests comply with reasonable venue rules communicated before or during the event.

The Client may be responsible for actual costs resulting from extraordinary cleaning or damage to the venue, furnishings, equipment, landscaping, or other property caused by the Client or the Client's guests, vendors, or invitees, excluding ordinary wear and tear.

Smoking, open flames, decorations, alcohol, outside vendors, amplified music, animals, and other activities may be subject to separate venue rules or prior approval.

11. Photography, Video, Likeness and Promotional Use

247ATL Weddings celebrates the couples who choose to begin their marriages with us and may photograph, record, livestream, or otherwise document ceremonies, celebrations, and activities occurring in connection with its services.

Promotional use of a couple's image and likeness is permitted only where the couple has given separate, optional consent during booking. That consent is not required in order to book a ceremony, and declining it does not affect the services provided.

Where a couple has given that consent, the couple grants 247ATL Weddings permission to photograph and record the couple and to use the couple's image, likeness, appearance, voice, photographs, video recordings, and ceremony-related images for lawful advertising, marketing, promotional, social-media, website, print, digital, and public-relations purposes.

This permission includes the right of 247ATL Weddings to reproduce, publish, display, edit, crop, resize, format, and distribute approved photographs, video, and other visual recordings through media used to advertise or promote 247ATL Weddings and the M.A.J. Bowden Legacy Center.

Such promotional use may include, without limitation:

  • the 247ATL Weddings website;
  • social-media accounts;
  • digital advertisements;
  • printed advertisements;
  • brochures and promotional materials;
  • wedding-service demonstrations;
  • venue marketing;
  • promotional videos; and
  • other lawful marketing and advertising of 247ATL Weddings.

Unless separately agreed, the couple will not be entitled to compensation, royalties, or other payment because 247ATL Weddings uses authorized photographs, video, likenesses, or recordings for these purposes.

A couple may request that their photographs, video, or likeness not be used for promotional purposes. Such a request should be made in writing before or after the ceremony and will be honored going forward.

Virtual ceremonies are recorded as part of the service. Recordings are retained for 90 days and are not used promotionally without the couple's permission. An edited copy of a recording is available for an additional fee.

247ATL Weddings will not intentionally publish marriage licenses, Social Security numbers, financial information, personal contact information, payment information, or other sensitive personal records as part of its advertising or promotional materials.

The couple is responsible for advising its guests that photography or video recording may occur at the ceremony or event. 247ATL Weddings will reasonably honor a specific request communicated in advance concerning a guest who does not wish to be intentionally featured in promotional materials.

Nothing in this section transfers ownership to 247ATL Weddings of photographs or video owned by an independent photographer, videographer, or other third party. Use of third-party copyrighted material remains subject to any necessary rights or permissions.

12. Photography and Recording by Couples and Guests

Couples and their guests may take personal photographs and video during ceremonies unless otherwise restricted for safety, privacy, scheduling, contractual, or venue reasons.

Professional photographers and videographers must comply with reasonable venue requirements and must not materially interfere with the officiant, ceremony, other scheduled events, or operation of the M.A.J. Bowden Legacy Center.

Any photography, livestreaming, video recording, or media package purchased directly from 247ATL Weddings is governed by the terms applicable to that service.

13. Weather, Emergencies, and Events Beyond Our Control

247ATL Weddings is not responsible for delays, interruptions, or inability to perform services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, utility failures, governmental orders, road closures, emergencies, serious illness, unsafe conditions, or similar events.

When reasonably possible, 247ATL Weddings will work with the couple to reschedule or provide a reasonable alternative.

If 247ATL Weddings is unable to provide the purchased service and no reasonable substitute or rescheduled date can be agreed upon, amounts paid directly for the unperformed service will be refunded.

14. Third-Party Vendors and Services

Photographers, florists, musicians, caterers, transportation providers, accommodations, governmental marriage-license offices, payment processors, and other third parties are independent of 247ATL Weddings unless expressly identified otherwise.

247ATL Weddings is not responsible for the acts, omissions, products, services, schedules, policies, or charges of independent third parties.

15. Website Information

247ATL Weddings makes reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current.

Package descriptions, availability, pricing, photographs, features, and other information may change from time to time.

The price and services shown in the Client's confirmed booking will control over general website descriptions in the event of an unintended discrepancy.

247ATL Weddings reserves the right to correct typographical, technical, or pricing errors.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, 247ATL Weddings will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the website or provision of services.

Except for liability that cannot lawfully be limited, the aggregate liability of 247ATL Weddings arising from a particular booking will not exceed the amount actually paid by the Client to 247ATL Weddings for that booking.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived or limited under applicable law.

17. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises concerning a booking or services provided by 247ATL Weddings, the parties agree first to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally.

The Client should provide written notice describing the dispute and the requested resolution. 247ATL Weddings will have a reasonable opportunity to review and respond.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to attempt nonbinding mediation in Fulton County, Georgia before initiating litigation, except where emergency injunctive relief, a statute of limitations, or a claim properly brought in magistrate court makes prior mediation impracticable.

If mediation does not resolve the dispute, any lawsuit arising from these Terms or the services shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Fulton County, Georgia, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Each party will bear its own attorney's fees and costs except where a contract, statute, or court order provides otherwise.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from the website, a reservation, or services provided by 247ATL Weddings are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

19. Changes to These Terms

247ATL Weddings may update these Terms periodically.

The Terms applicable to a confirmed booking will ordinarily be the version in effect when the booking is completed, unless the parties subsequently agree otherwise or a change is required by law.

Changes posted after a confirmed booking will not retroactively materially reduce the Client's contractual rights for that booking.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, the Client's booking confirmation, the applicable package description, the Cancellation & Refund Policy, and any additional written agreement expressly incorporated into the booking constitute the agreement between the Client and 247ATL Weddings concerning the purchased services.

If a specific written package or booking term conflicts with these general Terms, the more specific booking term will control.

22. Acceptance of Terms

By checking the acceptance box during booking and submitting payment, the Client acknowledges that the Client has had an opportunity to review these Terms and agrees to be bound by them.
